Tribute to Pierre et Gille's "Mercure" since I loved that photograph and the pose so much. Prolly will do more stuff with this figure later on in Vue but so far it's pretty decent.

I like this. I hope you do more with it. Your pose looks more natural. The composition real good. The high key lighting works super well here.
His is pose is more classical. His painted photograph is damn good.
It must be the winged hat, because I knew it was Mercury before reading your description or looking up the photo reference. Even with a pike substituted for the caduceus it somehow says "Mercury" I looked up pictures of statues and painting of Mercury and could not find any posed like this except Gille's. It seems perfectly iconic. Yes, please do more in vue. It's worth it.
